USO Show at the Naples DepotTime: 8:00 am til 5:00 pm Location: Naples Depot Description: Naples' role as an Army Air Corps training base during World War II is remembered each November 11th at the Naples Depot Museum, following the city's Veterans Day ceremony. Although closed to train traffic for the duration, the old station came alive every Saturday night with USO shows and dances designed to boost the morale of soldiers stationed at the nearby army airfield (now Naples Airport). The Florida Public Archaeology Network is dedicated to the protection of cultural resources, both on land and underwater, and to involving the public in the study of their past. Regional centers around Florida serve as clearinghouses for information, institutions for learning and training, and headquarters for public participation in archaeology.
