Then & Now: Life Along the New RiverFPAN Statement on Anthropology in State Universities
The Southeast Region is hosted by Florida Atlantic University’s Department of Anthropology. Housed on the FAU Fort Lauderdale campus in Askew Tower, the Southeast Regional Center is responsible for public outreach in archaeology for Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe and Palm Beach Counties, which are home to more than 5.6 million residents. |

The Florida Public Archaeology Network is dedicated to the protection of cultural resources, both on land and underwater, and to involving the public in the study of their past. Regional centers around Florida serve as clearinghouses for information, institutions for learning and training, and headquarters for public participation in archaeology.
