Kirkland Family Cemetery GPR -- Rookery Bay
On July 22, 2011, FPAN Central Region Director, Rich Estabrook, guided a ground-penetrating study of the Kirkland Family Cemetery at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. About 20 members of the public participated, including a descendant of the Kirkland Family.

23 March 2012 Florida Archaeology Month Paddle Tour offered in conjunction with the friendly and knowledgeable rangers from Koreshan State Historic Site.

The Florida Public Archaeology Network is dedicated to the protection of cultural resources, both on land and underwater, and to involving the public in the study of their past. Regional centers around Florida serve as clearinghouses for information, institutions for learning and training, and headquarters for public participation in archaeology.
