Oakdale Cemetery

800 N. Clara Avenue

The monument in Oakdale Cemetery was placed by the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Florida Division Stonewall Jackson Chapter No. 1981, in 1958.  It is an upright granite slab with two bronze plaques fastened to its front.  The upper plaque dedicates the monument as a "Loving tribute to the memory of our Confederate dead in Oakdale Cemetery."  This plaque lists 11 Confederate veterans who are buried in the cemetery.  The second plaque lists an additonal veteran burial, which was apparently missed when the main plaque was designed.
